SAP PM Transactions: Process Flow, Hierarchy & Relationships
TL;DR
- SAP PM transactional objects span five phases — Measurement Management, Notification Management, Work Order Management, Work Execution, and Settlement — with eight objects connecting condition monitoring through to cost settlement.
- The dependency order is strict: Measurement Document → Maintenance Notification → Work Order → Order Operation / Order Component → Goods Movement → Confirmation → Order Settlement. Maintenance Plans can auto-generate Notifications without a prior Measurement Document.
