SAP PP Master Data: Overview, Hierarchy & Relationships
TL;DR
- SAP PP master data consists of five core objects (Material Master, Work Center, BOM, Routing, Production Version) plus two optional objects (Class/Characteristic for classification and MRP Controller for planning responsibility).
- Configuration must follow the phase order: Material Master → Work Center → BOM & Routing → Production Version; each object depends on the ones before it.
