SAP PS Master Data: Overview, Hierarchy & Relationships
TL;DR
- SAP PS master data consists of three phases: Profile Configuration (Project Profile, Network Profile, Milestone Group), Project Structure (Project Definition, WBS Element, WBS Hierarchy), and Network Structure (Network, Activity, Activity Element, Milestone) — the first three objects are mandatory; the rest are optional depending on project type.
- Setup order follows strict dependencies: profiles must exist in Customizing before Project Definition can be created; WBS Elements depend on Project Definition; Networks depend on both Network Profile and WBS Elements.
