Major Energy Company — First SAP IS-OIL Implementation in Japan

Goal: Full migration from a scratch-built SCM system to SAP IS-OIL. Standardize core operations centered on SD/MM and unify SAP across three business divisions.

First SAP IS-OIL deployment in Japan. Engaged from concept phase and built a cross-module prototype
Conducted Fit&Gap analysis for 3 business divisions (fuel, lubricants, chemicals). Led SD/MM requirements
After transitioning to master data team, led item/partner master requirements, governance tool selection, and full test coordination
Designed business and system migration strategy from scratch and delivered through cutover

Led collection of logistics master objects (SD/MM/PP/QM/WM) and migration procedures. Drove global communication in English
Organized Japan-specific requirements by material master view and aligned gaps with global standards to the European team
Supported warehouse system selection (SAP EWM vs Manhattan / Blue Yonder)
